Manuscript Typing

Transform handwritten drafts, rough notes or old typed documents into polished, ready-to-publish manuscripts.

Whether your manuscript is handwritten or an old printed document, I can convert it into a clean document ready to be edited and, ultimately, shared by you.

If you have an old, faded typed or handwritten document printed in book form, bound or loose sheets, this service is beneficial – preserve the manuscript before it’s lost forever.

Prices are fixed on a per 1,000-word basis.
Timeframe depends on the size and quality of the original document. It is helpful for me to see a sample the document beforehand, emailing a sample page I’d be happy to give a free quotation.
The document can be formatted according to your instructions.
Costs for copy typing from a manuscript depend on whether the original materials are handwritten or already typed and range from £11-£15 per 1000 words.

The Process:

We will talk through what you want, and I will format the manuscript according to your instructions ( e.g. should you want the original spelling and punctuation of an old document, I can do that). We will also agree on a completion date.

A deposit will be required, with balance due on completion and before the document is released.

I am happy to apply a ‘light touch’ to punctuation, spelling, etc, but this price does not include editorial input.

Storing and Returning your Manuscript:

Your manuscript will be stored in a smoke and pet-free environment. Once the project is completed and final payment has been made, your original manuscript will be returned via Royal Mail recorded delivery (P&P charges apply)
